Laheeb Al Rayyan was born in Qatar and imported to Australia via Europe and UK. Laheeb's pedigree is Egyptian Royalty which traces back through his tail female line via all four grandparents to Bukra, considered to be one of the greatest Egyptian mares of all time.

His sire is the classic stallion Ansata Hejazi, a son of Ansata Halim Shah, who was named Reserve Supreme Champion at The Egyptian Event in Kentucky and one of the top ranked Straight Egyptian sires in the USA prior to his exportation to Kuwait.

Laheeb Al Rayyan's dam is Ansata Selket, the Queen of Ansata, featured with Judi Forbis on the back cover Authentic Arabian Bloodstock 11. Ansata Selket was the pride of Ansata from the day she was foaled and her fame spread around the world because of her exceptional beauty. Selket was a Halter Champion and Most Classic Head Champion whenever shown and became Qatar National Champion Mare after her export from USA . Selket is the epitome of feminity of the Dahman Strain and a model representative of Classic Arabian type.

Laheeb Al Rayyan carries the blood of his wonderful ancestors which were the pride of the famous Ansata breeding programme in USA This proud heritage of the Ansata programme now continues in Qatar through the Al Rayyan breeding programme and we are proud to have Laheeb Al Rayyan here in Australia to perpetuate these bloodlines in our country.
